SITE INTERVENTION / COMMENTARY / BIBLIOGRAPHY / ABOUT ME
PART I
The first part focuses on sound works, using speakers to play my edits and overlays of sound within the space, while also displaying sound graphics to explore the relationship between sound and spatial graphics. People will listen to how these sounds transform the entire space through a central device. They can also intervene by choosing different materials, allowing them to explore various sound qualities while seeking connections with the sound graphics.
PART I
I
"The second part focuses on live practice, using instruments, bells, clapping, and other methods to intervene in the surrounding environment. This allows for a more concrete exploration of the movement of sound and the changes in perception.CONCLUSION
After completing this site practice, I interviewed several people to gather their feedback on their perception of the space and its relationship to the graphics. Through these discussions, I found that most participants could identify approximate segments of sound within the graphics, but without explanations, they struggled to directly connect the graphics to the sounds I intended to convey. One interviewee, Tom, mentioned that he found the graphics beautiful, but in this space, he preferred to listen to the sounds and experience the changes. Therefore, the sound graphics served more as a guide to help us explore and create sound.Regarding perception, Tom noted that the central device allowed for a clear experience of sound changes. During the rotation, as the orientation shifted, the amplification of other sounds helped to mitigate the noise from traffic. As sounds played within the space, I gathered the surrounding noises and transformed them into interesting sounds through certain methods. This seemed to alter our original perception, providing a soothing effect. Additionally, we experienced different perceptions across various segments of sound.

Site: Hackney Wick ( 51°32'54.8"N 0°01'36.5"W)
This project culminates in a site-situated practice open to everyone, centered around the keywords: sound, graphics, intervention, installation, and perception. The entire experience is divided into two parts, lasting approximately 20 minutes.
